My husband suffers from lower back pain. He had back surgery 10 years ago and more recently, steroid injections in his lower spine area. He'd been miserable with his 9-year old Tempur-pedic mattress, which bottomed out over time. His new mattress, Luxe Adapt Firm has already allowed him to sleep more comfortably thru the night. I'll start off by saying I am 30 years old, at 6'1 and weigh 188. I tend to sleep in any position: front, side, or back. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease when I was about 24. I was experiencing very bad back problems, and with that, my sleep was suffering, so I began searching for a new mattress.
Tempur-Pedic has to be paying their marketing team a great sum. When I was mattress searching about 5-6 years ago, that's all I was seeing across different review sites, sponsored ads on Google, etc. At this point, after a week of doing some research, I'm only seeing good things, and I purchased a queen Luxe Adapt from a local mattress store.
So after about $5000 USD, we get the bed delivered, set up, and the whole shebang. I'm extremely excited. I ordered a firm Tempur-Pedic that should support my back and hips, and I might start sleeping again.
Boy, was I wrong. The first night, I vividly remember having trouble falling asleep because of how excited I was to hopefully catch up on some sleep. I eventually ended up falling asleep and waking up about an hour and a half later to extreme pain in my lower back. It was about 1 a.m., and I was so tired that all I wanted to do was sleep. Where I was sleeping sank in so much that there was 0 support for my hips andlower back. Keep in mind I bought the firm option.
My wife sleeps with me, so I end up sleeping on the couch that night. I wake up and do some more research, along with calling the mattress store. The sales lady tells me my body will take time adjusting to the new mattress and to give it 3-4 weeks for my back to properly adjust to it.
So I listened. I kept attempting to sleep on the Tempur-Pedic but kept waking up in extreme pain. I ended up calling again, telling the same sales person the issues, and they recommended the adjustable frame. I bought that because I just want to sleep. It's something to me that's priceless. At this point, I'll do anything to sleep.
So we get the adjustable frame set up. I give it another go, and the same problem. Extreme pain in the same spot.
At this point, the 60-day return period has expired, and they were not taking anything back. So I just spent around $6000 for a mattress and a frame that is giving me the worst experience of my life.
I'm tight with my money, so this was a big defeat to me. I just bit the bullet and tried finding any way to get comfortable in the Tempur-Pedic. I would take my ibuprofen right before bed, have one set up for when I woke up in pain, and had a stretch routine. Time kept passing, but I really didn't want to be out that much money.
Years pass, and my back has not improved. I move between the couch and the Tempur-Pedic to get a couple of hours of sleep a night. I was averaging about 2-4 hours a night up until recently.
I spent about $2.5k on a different brand mattress (not going to name it here because I'm not pushing another brand, but people need to know what Tempur-Pedic is), and I have been getting the best sleep of my life. I am SO thankful I found it, but I am just now to the point where I feel like a normal person that's able to sleep.
I felt the need to write a review for anyone else that may be experiencing back issues and is thinking of getting a Tempur-Pedic. I would save your money and look elsewhere. There are many other brands that help with hip/back pain. This one does not.

Last night, my first night to sleep on my Luxe death Tempur-pedic mattress. Had backache for months and months on my previous mattress. Had a 10 year warranty on it and it sagged so exchanged it under the warranty for the temper Lux adapt firm. I slept heavenly for the first time in years months really. It slept like a dream. I love it. I am going to so enjoy it. I am so happy I found this brand and this particular mattress now I look forward to sleeping at night and not having to get up with pain and move to sleep on the floor. This mattress is my lifesaver..

I would not recommend ordering a mattress from tempurpedic.com. They only use FragilePak for delivery and pickup. On delivery, the guys did not have a box knife to open the box so I provides them with one, then did not also have a pen to sign for delivery so I furnished that. On setting my mattress on the frame, they slammed into my bedroom door breaking off the door stop causing the door handle to ding my sheetrock. Then I ended up needing to return my mattress and couldn't get it scheduled with FragilePak for almost a month. When I did get a date scheduled, they sent a window of 10a-2p for pickup. They did not show up during that time. Called FragilePak twice later in the afternoon and they couldn't get ahold of the distribution center picking it up. At 6:34 pm someone called from FragilePak saying they would be there in 30 minutes. Again no one showed up. At 7:26, they arrived without any phone call prior from the driver as is stated in the delivery/pickup email. Of course after wasting 8 hours waiting on them, I had to leave at 7p and missed them. Now FragilePak is needing to reschedule and i assume it is going to take another month to get that accomplished. Recommend after my experience to buy from a local store. Exactly what i did and it was quick and without incident and on time.

We bought the firm Lux-adapt (stomach and back sleepers), and it is very uncomfortable. After 45 days, it got about 10% softer only in the midsection, about 2% everywhere else. We tried to return it or exchange it for a softer bed, but they will not take it. Tempur-Pedic does not stand behind its products. Don't buy one. Get a Saatva or Nest.

I went through trying 4 different mattresses within 7 months before trying a tempurpedic. I kept experiencing back pain or restlessness on every bed I tried, despite how comfortable some of them were...Finally, I laid on every single tempurpedic mattress available and found the most comfort on the soft LuxeAdapt mattress, although the soft LuxeBreeze was my next favorite. I visited this store multiple times before committing, and couldn't be happier with my purchase. My lower back pain has completely dissipated. I wake up feeling rested and grateful.

We had the mattress delivered and the first crew was in such a hurry that we had to ask for a second crew to come by and lower the bed and explain things to us about the bed. The second crew was Leansi and Alan and they were terrific! They lowered the bed while trying a couple of different approaches. They were very patient with us and we were very satisfied with the final result. We've enjoyed the new mattress and are sleeping better than ever before.

The Tempurpedic mattress I just purchased has exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant at first to change to this type of mattress, but I am so glad I did. I suffer from Neuropathy and Spinal Stenosis and this mattress has afforded me the comfort to be able to sleep all night. With less pressure on my body I now enjoy a comfortable night's sleep.

I had high expectations for this mattress, but it has been a huge disappointment in the long-term. After only 4 years it started sagging/losing support causing back pain. When I wake up in the morning I feel like a train wreck ! it's incredibly uncomfortable. Despite following all care instructions, the quality has not held up. For the price, I expected much better durability and comfort. I would not recommend this mattress to anyone looking for long-term comfort and support.

First off, we visited the Roseville, CA storefront to test out different mattresses since this was a big investment! Marcos was wonderful and patient with our questions!
The mattress though got delivered and I was so nervous with how firm it was for buying a medium hybrid. I will say, the first night sleep was AMAZING! I sunk in just right. And the best part is I wasn't disturbed by my husband moving or getting up to use the bathroom. I super recommend

I haven't had a good night sleep since I bought this mattress. I have contacted Tempur-pedic about the issues I've had, to no avail. It smells like mold and mildew since the first day I got it, and although my #Warranty says that should be covered, no one has said that it would be. The odor is so bad that anything that comes in contact with the mattress also smells. This is the worst purchase. I've made in 30 years.
I bought this mattress from Levin Furniture after I exchange the ceiling mattress which was defective. I went from a king size mattress to a queen size mattress, and this Tempur-pedic was twice the cost of the mattress that I exchanged. However, Levin will not provide any exchange on this mattress, which is horrible, nor will they support any warranties. Even though I paid twice as much for this Tempur-pedic mattress, then I did for the Sealy. And they are two different manufacturers, which should have two different warranties.. When I call Tempur-pedic, they say their warranties and their support are only for people who buy online.
Overall, I am extremely unhappy, and I'm not afraid to tell everyone I know.

As someone who plays a lot of sports, I've been dealing with constant body aches over the last couple years, specifically my back. When I ordered this mattress, my hope was that the mattress would, not completely solve this issue, but at least alleviate some of the stress that can come from trying to sleep on an incompatible mattress. And it did it for me. I sleep both on my back and on my side, and, after breaking in the mattress, I can feel how snug the mattress feels while maintaining a level of resistance so as to provide support. Highly recommended for those facing the same issues and those wanting to just raise their sleep quality.

When we went to the mattress store we tested the mattresses and it felt comfortable. However, when we slept on it the first night, we noticed that it did not give very much support. I felt as if I was sleeping in a hole, unfortunately that has not changed. The firm just felt too hard, so we didn't get it (wish we had of). Be very careful when you are selecting a new mattress. This one makes my back hurt, but in all fairness it could depend on the person.

Had this mattress for about 5 to 6 years when we started to see issues with it. I reached out because there was a slant/sag on the left side of the mattress, and it was pretty significant. I turned in the photos like they asked, and they just kept asking for more and more. They basically asked so much that I stopped submitting. Fast forward a year, and the mattress got worse. This time I went back through their warranty process prepared. I have submitted over 20 pictures, and they keep stringing me on, asking for more or saying I didn't do it right. The pictures are obvious, but nope, they still want more. I have lost all faith in tempur-pedic at this point. Their warranty is a sham/scam, and they will just drag you along until you quit. My recommendation is if you want to purchase this mattress, just know the warranty is garbage, and it will fail on you. I only wish they would allow me to upload my photos so you can all see them.
